What I do:
What I've done:
-
Lots of consulting and contract work in the open education world, which followed decades of teaching and researching math and computer science in nearly a dozen universities, research centers, companies, and non-profits. For details, see my up-to-date CV.
-
Lots of specific info is in these
web pages for many past
courses I have taught.
-
Always SHARE: here
is material I'm putting out in the
world, such as articles, books, slide decks (and sometimes
video or audio) from talks, etc. — I think
of this as my own little contribution to the global
intellectual commons.
-
A mathematical project I did long ago resulted in
a gallery of some fundamental
domains in the interior of $H^3_\RR$ for the action of
cyclic subgroups of $PSL(2,\CC)$.
-
Some of my certifiable activities are memorialized on
this page with certificates and
"badges".
Where I am:
-
My location in physical space is hard to determine: if you
need to hand off some item to me, it would be best to
contact me first by email and we can set something up.
Although if you need to be able to recognize me in person,
here's
a headshot of me; and when you call out
to me, the pronounciation of my name is /ˈdʒɒn.ə.θən pʊr ɪts/.
